 i. Trek Highlights: 

★ Duration: 16 Days 

★ Grade: Moderate to difficult 

★ Maximum Height: 4839m for base Camp Trek, 6193m (Sherpani Col) for crossing to the Everest region. 

★ Accommodation: Basic Tea House Lodge and homestays. Camping is optional.

★ Key sites covered: Tumlingtar, Num, Nurbugaon, Khongma, Dobate, Barun Pokhari and Base Camp. 

★ Key attractions/experiences: 

○ Observing the majestic mountain views of Mt. Makalu (8,485 m), the fifth-highest mountain in the world, Kanchungtse (Makalu ii), Chomo Lonzo, Chamlang, Baruntse, Peak 14 (Pyramid peak), Peak 6 (6524m), Peak 7 (6758m); 

○ Trekking to one of the isolated, adventurous, and off-the-beaten-path treks; 

○ Visiting the sacred glacier lakes; encountering with the Yeti (Mythical mountain mammal) andhigh passes; 

○ Exploring the picturesque alpine pastures with yak grazing; 

○ Witnessing the unspoiled vegetation and rare flora and fauna, including the elusive red panda and blooming Himalayan flowers; 

○ High passes via Sipton La to Barun valley and via three passes to Mera and Khumbu valley; 

○ Cultural encounters experiencing the diverse cultures of local communities, including Sherpa, Gurung, Rai, Hill Brahmin and Chhetri; 

○ Sacred pilgrimage to the ancient Buddhist monasteries, beyul Khelpalung caves and natural spring sites related to Shivadhara and Guru Padmasambhava. 

○ Birdwatching in the Arun Valley and Barun Valley.

Day 03: Trek to Tashi Gaun (2298m) 

Day 04: Trek to Khongma 3637m 

Day 05: Rest and Acclimatization 

Day 06: Trek to Dobate 3862m via Septen-la 4256m 

Day 07: Trek to Yangle 3348m 

Day 08: Trek to Langmale 4432m 

Day 09: Trek to Makalu Base Camp 4839m 

Day 10: Explore Makalu BC & Back to Langmale 4432m 

Day 11: Trek to Yangle Kharka 3348m 

Day 12: Trek to Dobate 3862m 

Day 13: Trek to Khongma 3637m 

Day 14: Trek to Seduwa 1604m 

Day 15: Trek to Num and Drive to Chichila 1060m 

Day 16: Drive to Tumlingtar and fly to Kathmandu
